Mr. Roberto Gutierrez Garcia worked in Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer from 1982 to 2002,
holding different positions, including Director of Audit which he held for the last 10 years before
his departure from the group. Subsequently, from 2003 to 2016, he joined the National Workers
Housing Fund Institute (Instituto de Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores
–“INFONAVIT”), where he occupied the position of Chief Audit Executive for the last 10 years
before his departure from the institution. Mr. Gutierrez is a CPA from the School of Banking and
Commerce (Escuela Bancaria y Comercial – “EBC”), he also holds a Certified Internal Auditor

Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez has been a member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Famsa since April 2018. He is a Mexican economist with an extensive professional experience which includes teaching, commercial and central banking. On April 23, 2009 he was appointed as Sub-governor and member of the Board of Governors of Bank of Mexico, which was reaffirmed by the Permanent Comission of the Congress on May 27, 2009. After concluding his period on December 31, 2016, he was named a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Before his term at Central Bank, he acted in different positions at BBVA Bancomer such as Investment Manager of Valanza Mexico, Financial Analysis and Investor Relationships Director, Finance and Planning Director of the Service Bank and Corporate Director of Economic Research. Also, he has performed as CEO of the Center for Analysis and Economic Research (Centro de Analisis e Investigacion Economica – “CAIE”) of the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico – “ITAM”). He has worked as an economics professor at the ITAM and taught at various national and international universities, including the Boston College and Chicago University. Also, he acted as advisor and consultor for several companies and international bodies, and previously served as an economist for the industrial groups Alfa and Vitro. Mr. Sanchez holds Master’s degree and a PhD in Economics from University of Chicago as well as a Master’s in Science from the University of Missouri.
